January, 2020 – Received a grant from the Laboratory for Analytical Sciences to continue working on methods to detect, characterize, and assess state-sponsored influence campaigns using publicly available social media data. With this grant, Dr. Rand will collaborate with PhD Statistics student, Anthony Weishampel, to apply functional data analyses to model the volume and lifespans of marketing and state-sponsored influence campaigns on social media.
